What they learn

Inside the class

Animal poses through play

Children become a cobra, a cat, a butterfly or a tree. Naming poses after animals and familiar things keeps the class fun and easy to follow, and children pick up the shapes naturally by copying the teacher.

Stories that move

Each class often follows a simple story, like a trip to the zoo or jungle, with a pose for each part. This keeps younger children engaged and turns yoga into an adventure rather than an instruction.

Gentle, very short holds

Little ones hold a pose for only a few seconds before moving on. Short holds suit their energy and bodies, and we never ask them to stay still for long or push into a stretch.

A calm, happy finish

Every class ends with a quiet moment, like lying down and listening or a simple bee breath. This gentle wind-down helps children feel calm and settled before they go home.

Questions

Little Yogis: parents' questions

Is my 4 year old too young for yoga?
Most children are ready for a playful class like Little Yogis from around age 4, once they can follow simple instructions and enjoy copying poses. The class is built around their attention span, so it stays short, fun and gentle. If you are unsure, WhatsApp us and we will help you decide.
Will my child have to sit still and be quiet?
No. Little Yogis is full of movement, animal poses and games. There is only one short, calm moment at the end. We never expect young children to sit still for long, and there is no pressure to be perfect.
Is it safe for such young children?
Yes. We follow safe practice for young children: very short holds, no headstands or handstands, no forcing or over-stretching, and a qualified teacher watching closely. We keep the batch small so every child is seen the whole time.
