Why kids yoga

What a regular class can give your child

Focus that helps at school

Holding a pose and following a simple sequence asks children to pay attention for a few quiet minutes at a time. Many children find this carries over to homework and the classroom, and yoga is one gentle way to support a longer attention span.

Balance and body awareness

Standing poses like Tree and simple balances help children sense where their body is in space. This may support steadier coordination and confidence in everyday movement, from sports to simply sitting still.

Quiet confidence

There is no winning or losing in our kids classes. When a child manages a wobble or tries a new shape, they feel proud of their own effort. Over time this supports self-belief, and many children grow more willing to try new things.

A real break from screens

Paediatric bodies advise limiting screen time for children. A kids yoga class is active, social and screen-free, giving children an hour that uses their body and breath instead of a device.
How it works

Safe, playful and never pushy

Small batches, every child seen

We keep our kids classes small on purpose. With fewer children in the room, the teacher can watch each child, keep everyone safe and give a quiet word of encouragement where it helps.

Playful and age-appropriate

Younger children learn through animal poses, stories and games. Older children move towards real poses, simple breathing and a little light strength work. The class always matches the age in the room, never the other way round.

A safe, qualified teacher

Every class is led by a qualified, trained yoga teacher who follows safe practice for children: short holds, no headstands or handstands, demonstrate rather than push, and never compare one child to another.

Questions

Kids yoga: parents' questions

What age can my child start yoga?
Most children are ready for a structured kids yoga class from around age 4 or 5, once they can follow simple instructions and enjoy copying poses. Our Little Yogis class is built for ages 4 to 7 and our Junior Yogis class for ages 8 to 12, so there is a right level for most children.
Is yoga safe for children?
Yes, when it is taught the right way. Our classes follow safe practice for children: short, gentle holds, no headstands or handstands, no forcing or over-stretching, and a qualified teacher watching the whole time. If a child ever feels any discomfort, we stop and check. We keep batches small so every child stays safe and seen.
How long is a kids yoga class?
Kids classes are shorter than adult classes to match a child's energy and attention span. Sessions are kept brief and lively, with movement, a calm finish and no long sitting still. WhatsApp us on +91 86101 62435 for the current class length and timings.
Will yoga help my child focus or sit still?
Yoga asks children to pay attention to their body and breath for short stretches at a time, which many children find helps with focus and calm. We never promise a particular result, but parents often tell us their child seems a little steadier and more settled after regular classes.
Do I need to send my child every day?
No. Children come for their scheduled class through the week, not daily. Regular, relaxed practice works far better for children than doing too much. We will share the kids class days and times when you reach out on WhatsApp.
