How it works

How our classes work

Premium, personal and unhurried. The opposite of a crowded drop-in hall.

Small batches, max 14

Mat classes never exceed 14 people, so every posture gets watched and adjusted. Aerial is smaller still, only four per class.

Founder-led every class

Sailaja teaches every session herself. You are not handed off to a rotating roster of stand-ins.

All levels welcome

No flexibility or experience needed. Postures are modified for whoever is in the room, beginner to seasoned.

Questions

Yoga classes: your questions

What yoga classes does Anand Yoga Centre offer in Kolathur?
Anand Yoga Centre in Kolathur offers Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Aerial (hammock) yoga, Prenatal yoga for expecting mothers, and Kids yoga for children. Every class is women-first, kept to small batches of no more than 14, and led personally by Sailaja.
Which yoga class is best for beginners?
Hatha yoga is the gentlest place to begin: slow, intentional postures with steady breath, suitable from any starting point. Once you feel steady, Vinyasa adds breath-linked flow. Because batches are capped at 14 and Sailaja leads every class, beginners get real attention and can start with any style.
How many people are in a class?
Mat classes are kept to a maximum of 14 people so Sailaja can adjust and guide everyone individually. Aerial yoga is even smaller, only four per class, because there are four hammocks. Small batches are a deliberate choice, not a side effect.
Do I need experience to join a yoga class?
No. All levels are welcome and every class is led by Sailaja, who modifies postures for whoever is in the room. Beginners usually start with Hatha; expecting mothers join Prenatal; children join Kids yoga. You do not need flexibility or prior experience to start.
How do I find out the class schedule and book?
Classes run Mon–Sat mornings and evenings, plus Sunday mornings, at the Kolathur studio. The simplest way to confirm timings and reserve your spot is to message us on WhatsApp. Sailaja will share the current schedule and book you in.
